Deputy Lieutenant of Devon to visit the Festival

Deputy Lieutenant of Devon to visit the Festival

His Majesty's Deputy Lieutenant Grania Phillips has been appointed by the Lord-Lieutenant of Devon's office to attend the Festival of the Iberian Horse. Grania will attend with husband Simon on Sat 3rd Sept. Grania will present the four showing Champions with their awards before dining in the Lisbon Lounge and later enjoying the show including the first ever visit to English Soil of Córdoba Ecuestre from the Royal Stables of Cordoba and global superstars Magali Delgado & Frédéric Pignon: la passion des chevaux. Being such a prestigious event for Devon, the Lord Lieutenant had hoped to attend himself, but other commitments have prevented this.

The Lord-Lieutenant and his Lieutenancy team not only represent and uphold the dignity of the Crown, but also celebrate the people of Devon and promote Devon communities, culture, services, heritage, business and charitable success. As such we are extremely proud and honoured to be hosting such esteemed dignitaries at this home grown Devon show at the South West's largest event arena Westpoint Exeter. We very much look forward to welcoming both Grania and Simon and showing them the beautiful horses of Spain and Portugal.

Grania has farmed with her husband in North Devon for over 30 years where they run an award winning pedigree herd of Red Ruby Devons at Colleton Estate. Sustainable farming, and connecting people to the countryside is at the heart of what they do, and only sell direct to their own loyal customers and not to supermarkets. Grania Grania was the High Sheriff of Devon in 2018, is a trustee of Veterans Outdoors, is Honorary Colonel of the Devon ACF and serves on the councils of Devon County Show, North Devon Show and the Devon Cattle Breeders Society.

We have just a handful of VIP hospitality tickets in the Lisbon Lounge with front row seats and all inclusive dining remaining for Saturday, better availability for the other Espetáculos.
