David Zuend
Interview with Master horseman David Zuend coming soon! David and his wife Alison will be demonstrating every day at The Festival twice a day.
David Zuend is famed the world over for his outstanding horsemanship having started over 800 young horses, and is one of Pat Parelli's only licensed horse development specialists in the World. Based in Hartland, Devon, this local rider adds something very different, and very special to the Evening Extravaganzas. David is well known for his love of the Iberian horse owning many himself, and many send their Iberian horses to Devon for starting. The history of California Vaquero horsemanship is centuries old, and very much dominated by the Spanish horse and style of riding, still today it remains different to other Western styles of riding. Hundreds of years after The Moors arrived in Spain, the Conquistadors and the Andalusian horse arrived in North America, and the methods of training horses for war, showed great use for ranch and cattle work. This relatively young Lusitano is only part way through the many years of training to become what the California Vaqueros call a "Bridle Horse". It is rare to see this work in the UK, and we are very proud to include a correct historical piece, and what will be an unforgettable performance, in our one of kind, biggest in Europe showcase of the Iberian horse
